David spent nearly two decades in leadership and management roles, both as a serial entrepreneur and for a fortune 500 company. Early in his career, David learned how critical good leadership and a healthy culture are for the growth and survival of an organization. David is passionate about work, leadership, and the changing role of HR within organizations. His role as a scientist / practioner translator has also taught him that “all models are wrong, but some are useful.” As a speaker, trainer & consultant, David helps organizations integrate evidence-based interventions in a practical way.
David’s early career achievements in leadership and culture-building gained national attention. He is a regular contributor to a large number of media outlets around the world. David is passionate about spreading his vision of a reality where people find meaning in their careers and have the opportunity to work in diverse communities, leaving a lasting positive impact on the world around them.
David earned his BS in Human Resource Management from Colorado State University and his MPS in Industrial / Organizational Pyschology from the University of Maryland. In addition he is a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional. David is currently pursuing his doctorate in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where he is studying the relationship between burnout and meaningful work.
